The "Rue du Cirque" Louis XVI style desk having two open shelves with three drawers in the apron plus faux-drawers on the opposite face. Raised on turned legs fitted with polished brass sabots and collars. Shown with a blind tooled leather top. Custom sizes, finishes and surface treatments all available and quoted on request.
History: The name of this desk derives from where my Father bought the original: on the rue du Cirque in Paris. Its design harkens back to the earlier Louis XIV period’s eight legged desk designs known as “Bureau Mazarin”.
